Often I find it can depend on the type of game itself as to whether I would rather wait. Regarding Early Access - I can absolutely understand hesitation regarding purchasing a game in Early Access! It's a personal decision as to whether you'd rather buy a game now and journey along with the development - risking bugs and all, or wait until the game is fully released.
