After I finish using this, I plan to buy the Neutrogena Oil- Free Acne Stress Control 3-in-1 Hydrating Acne treatment. Overall, I give this product a 4 out of 5 stars, since it's not a miracle worker but still works very well. For me, the expiration date is around 2 years after the month/year I bought it. Btw, Lush Grease Lightning has an expiration date, so I recommend to buy this only if you will use it often. Sometimes, the amount of gel that gets pumped out is too much. About the packaging, well it's a pump, so you always get a specific amount of the gel. I really liked the fact that it's made of natural ingredients. rather than a single pimple, whitehead, etc. I feel like this works better if you have a group of pimples, whiteheads, etc. I usually put this on the area where I have the acne. Don't worry, it doesn't dry your skin though it just dries ON your skin. When you put it on, the gel will kind of dry on your skin. Like I had some forehead pimples, and around the next day, it's obvious that the pimple shrank. Out of these 3, Lush Grease Lightning is definitely the best acne treatment I've tried so far. The other two were Clean & Clear Acne Spot Treatment ( click here for review) and Clearasil Vanishing Acne Treatment Cream. This is the third acne treatment I tried so far. So this product is basically an acne treatment. Since I don’t wear skin makeup often this isn’t a big problem and your own experience with aloe gel may differ. As you an see from the title, this review will be about Lush Grease Lightning. My own experience is that it tends to form a sticky layer on my face instead of absorbing fully, and that is the same with this due to the aloe content and the really similar consistency. Tea tree and witch hazel are not the fastest destroyers of spots, but they are great at preventing most of my spots from seeing the light of day. She later asked me about the price and said (roughly) ‘er… ah well, the damage is done’ even after I offered to pay her back. It costs £6.40 and a fantastic natural alternative to chemical filled options so I am really happy to pick this up.Īlso, Twerp offered to pay for this and I really couldn’t refuse. Grease Lightning is a spot treatment that is applied topically, ‘ideally when you feel a spot is about to erupt’ for prevention. Literally just a few minutes before I had been in Boots perusing their Tea Tree & Witch Hazel range… I am very glad that I picked this up instead. Bonus if it’s all natural ingredients like Lush’s Grease Lightning treatment. This is totally up my street and exactly what I had been looking for – a simple treatment with both Tea Tree and Witch Hazel and not much else. But I couldn’t help but browse the skincare section… Instead, my introduction to Lush is through a spot treatment! To be honest with you, I was really only in Lush that fated day because Twerp wanted me to take her – She was buying bath bombs for her friends (isn’t she wonderful? We have the same love of showing our affection with our purses). Very tempting, but no… not until I use my regular ones up and even then… probably no. I also haven’t bought a single mask from Lush yet. (The bath bomb in question was a gift from AT, who, if she’s reading this, has a lot to answer for…) So I guess you could say I have hopped onto the Lush bandwagon, although not in the way that most people have.Īs much as I love the scent of them, I don’t use bath bombs as my first experience with them resulted in me scrubbing the bathtub so that it stopped being pink.
